There is this tiny trail I like to take when I visit Colorado Springs because I always find bones 🦴 on it. I told my partner this and he just nods his head and says “ok” sarcastically. I was trying to convince him that it was true when I looked down. Lo and behold, right in front of us was a tiny vertebrae. So we split up over this little area uncovering multiple more vertebrae’s. Bones old enough to have witnessed every season, wearing the weathered patina to prove it. I love that spot. Its a secret lil path that connects the road to hiking trails and I’m pretty sure big predators drag their prey down it to get to the creek on the other side.
So here are two sections of the Deer vertebrae complete with living succulents.
